we had a surprise birthday party for doug this week! the logistics might have gotten a little confused, but we had a great time! :)

a visit from an aggie
jeff is here! we have been enjoying athens. he got in late thursday night (what an adventure to navigate the airport, which was really busy for some reason...). friday, we explored downtown and campus and then cooked dinner at home (see next post)!
today we got everyone together for brunch at mama's boy, yum. then we drove around and are taking a study break at the moment! tonight is date night and then we'll have to figure out what to do on sunday. it is so great to have him here!!! (thanks mom and dad :))

It's been a while since I've updated! Midterms are over and they went pretty well. Laura came to visit last weekend, and Jeff will be here next weekend! Here are some photos:

botanical gardens
Rachel and I visited the glorious Athens botanical gardens the other day! It is enormous and beautiful. We tried to find the river but somehow got lost in the windy roads and actually ended up...funny story...kind of interrupting a garden wedding.
Haha, oops! (Don't worry, it wasn't that bad, we just passed the bride on her way to her entrance!)
